We are soo excited to have your child as new member of THE DENTAL LAND clinic family. Your child first dental visit with us is meant to help her/him feel comfortable and gives your child an opportunity to meet the dentist in a non-threatening and friendly way.
The first dental visit of your child is usually short and involves very little treatment. It is recommended to be by the age of 1 or within 6 months after his or her firs tooth comes in.
Following your check-in at our front desk and filling records, your child will wait in our kid-friendly waiting area where they will be able to relax, play on tablet, read stories, watch movies, and choose his/her favourite movie to watch while on the dental chair.
During this visit, our dentists will:
- Gather information about your child’s medical history and oral routine to determine cavity risk
- Examine your child’s mouth closely to check for any tooth decay
- Introduce your child to dental cleanings
- Show to you how to play a role in properly cleaning your baby’s teeth, discuss diet and fluoride needs, and recommend oral care products.
- Take any X-rays that are needed
- Answer all of your questions regarding your baby’s teeth and oral development.
Once your child’s visit is complete, he/she will receive a fun prize from our kids’ treasure chest, as well as a certificate from Super-D and taking an instagram photo with Super-D.
